RSO Training Class Information
Range Safety Officer (RSO) training courses are scheduled as needed.
Successful completion of this course is required for obtaining a key to the park and shooting ranges.
The classes are conducted at the park shooting range facility and generally begin at 8:00am and end at approximately 5:00pm. The cost for RSO training is $60.00. This includes all NRA training materials, snacks, and lunch.
Students will be required to successfully pass a comprehensive test at the end of the day to become a PDWLA-RSO. Students have the option to electronically complete the NRA credential registration process to receive official NRA-RSA recognition. The cost of NRA credential registration is not included in the course cost.
Although not required by PDWLA, NRA membership is extremely helpful in the timely completion of the optional NRA-RSO credential process. It also provides a reduced cost for initial credential registration and subsequent renewal.
RSO Class size is limited. Please email Steve Cox (PDWLA – Chief Range Safety Officer) at SteveC1973@yahoo.com to reserve your seat and start the class registration process.
